Exuma Park - Warderick Wells Cay

We’re still in the park. This spot has the Park Office and lots of hiking trails. The park is trying to restore the mangrove forest to it’s pre-logging state. The frequent severe weather makes it hard for the mangroves to get taller. One of the local species making a comeback is the curly tailed lizard. There were lots of these guys all around. The trails have some rather challenging sections and the yellow trail markers are sometimes a bit far apart. It seems that hikers like to build rock cairn along the trails. Not sure whether there is any significance. Hopefully they aren’t marking the fallen.
