On the beach with Chat ‘n’ Chill is a Conch Shack. Their empty shell pile must smell great to the stingray population because they hang out in the shallows gliding around despite the tourists who want to touch them. Standing still in the water will get you a glide-by where they glide over your foot and caress your ankle to see if you might have a treat. Warning: if you’ve recently made an anklet out of shells you found in Ft Lauderdale, a stingray might think it’s an offering a ride up your leg to check it out. They’re heavier than they look.
