Little Exuma Island

We took a minibus tour to Williams Town on Little Exuma Island. It was mostly a drive down and back tour with a few brief stops along the way. We were happy to make a stop at Mom’s Bakery. We had heard about her famous Rum Cakes. One slice: $8 vs. whole cake: $15. That was an easy math problem. I opted for a whole cake. It’s the dry season here but it’s still surprisingly green. The overlook was lovely. We actually got to see where the Tropic of Cancer line crosses the island. There is a stunning white sand beach there with a small parking area. An industrious young lady has set up a snack stand at the top of the beach stairs. Brilliant! This is the one place that the tourists are sure to go on the whole island.
