When we get serious about making distance, Linda adopts her preferred watch position half way up the topside stairs.

The bay gets so wide South of the Potomac that you are almost out of sight of land in every direction. We had some pure sailing today but the wind was close to out of the South so we often sailed with one or two engines running. We could get 8 knots when running with the current and a workable wind angle but fell off to 5 knots when pushing into current with wind on the nose.

Sunset as we reached Deltaville.  Rainy and colder tomorrow but looking forward to it because wind will be out of the North.
