Stuart Florida - Harborage Marina

We really wanted to stop at the Harborage Marina where our sailing friends, Jack and Linda, are spending the winter. The marina told us that they were pretty full but they had a spot they thought they could squeeze us into. We were grateful. They weren’t kidding.
Our buddy, Jack, texted us pictures of the spot. Getting into it was going to be technical and tricky. Did I mention it was a big wind day? Mike had to parallel park into an acute angled corner of the dock with another boat already in position behind our spot. We stopped at the fuel dock first to top off the tank and our buddy hopped on board to help with lines and that helped a bunch. The wind tried very hard to push us around but we made it in with the help of the marina staff.
The Gulf Stream is very close to shore here (and at Palm Beach). That keeps the weather milder than some other areas of Florida. We’ve heard that it rarely gets above 90 degrees in the summer and winters are warmer too. It’s sunny, windy and 77 degrees today. We’ll enjoy Stuart for a few days then leave Luna here and fly to VA for some visiting for a week.
