The kids visited us for about a week. We did lots of sightseeing thanks to Mariah’s wonderful research. The Chihuly Glass Exhibit, a Cat Cafe, the Spice Lab Shop, a Gourmet Grill Cheese Restaurant and the Bonnet House & Gardens are some of the highlights.
Sean’s favorite tree is the Strangler Fig, a parasitic tree that grows on a host tree. This is a particularly awesome example that we encountered on the 35 acre grounds of the Historic Bonnet House & Gardens. Here, we also had a picnic lunch under the watchful eye of a well mannered family of raccoons who made regular rounds of the picnic area in the park.
