We got in to Ft Lauderdale on Thanksgiving afternoon. Since we were a few days early for our marina reservation and it was a holiday, we simply anchored near the marina for the night.
In the morning, we chatted with the dockmaster who was able to find a temporary spot for us. We pulled in, tied up and went out to lunch at a sidewalk cafe on the beach. Then we went back to the boat and scrubbed her down. She was salty and sandy from all of the adventures since her last washing at Ft Pierce. We were done in time for a relaxing drink sitting on the bow waiting for the sunset.
