Day 2 - The Perfect Sailing Day

This morning the wind had dropped off to a nice 10-15. We picked up Darrin at the marina and headed out (Darrin at the wheel below)
The sailing was as perfect as it gets. We were flying along at 4-6 knots with a good breeze and all the canvas flying. We rounded Pooles Island and cruised up the edge of the restricted waters around Aberdeen Proving Ground. They were firing today but with the great wind we were able to outrun the explosions.

We made the ~30 nautical miles to Havre De Grace by 3:00 PM. They called me Captain on the radio when I got directions into the slip and I got lucky and executed a perfect back in docking with interference from a fishing boat and an audience. Darrin said he did not see what all the fuss from yesterday was about.

Here is the light house at Havre De Grace.

Here is the water view of Havre De Grace.

Tomorrow - under the bridges and up the Susquehanna.
